Entering this competition is easy. Just upload your favourite photo into one of our six categories and each month a winner from each category will be selected to win a Hewlett Packard photo printer and other prizes.

Once your photo is uploaded, we will review it here at Adobe and then feature it in our image gallery. All acceptable photos will be featured here, so you can flip through the gallery and check out the competition! You can enter as many times as you like, but you can only win one prize a month. And remember, your photos must be originated by you. No copyright or trademarks can be used.




What format should the photo be?
We will accept JPG file types. Your photo will be resized to appear in our gallery, so maximum height and width restrictions apply. Maximum height is 1200 pixels and maximum width is 1200 pixels. Images should be no larger than 500kb.

What type of photo should I enter?
We only request that all photos are originals - the subject of your photo is entirely up to you. Whatever you think captures2day! There are 6 categories for entry: landscapes, wildlife & animals, people, nature, still life and a more general category. The judges will be expecting the photos to "fit" into the category entered - so pick the one you feel is most appropriate.

What can you win?
Each month the 1st prize winner will receive a a HP Photosmart D7460 photo printer with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and Premiere Elements 4 Bundle Software. There are also two runner up prizes - see the prizes page for details.

Winners will be notified via email by the 7th of every month. Winners list will also be posted on the site on the 15th of every month for the preceeding month's entries. So make sure the email address you supply is correct - you don't want to miss out!

How will my photos be used?
Your photos will be published online and featured in our Gallery of entries. And if someone takes a shine to your photo they can even choose to send it to a friend as an e-postcard. If your entry is successful for one of our grand prizes, it will also be featured in our winners gallery.

To enter, do I have to have used Adobe® Photoshop® Elements software on my capture2day entry photo?
It is not a requirement that you use Adobe Photoshop Elements to manipulate your photo. You might however want to check out our 'Photoshop Elements Features' page to see some of the great features that you are missing out on!
